England International goalkeeper, Robert Green has today joined West Ham United from Norwich City in a four-year deal, which could cost the Hammers up to £2 million. The 26-year old star made more than 250 appearances for the Canaries and put pen to paper this morning in a deal to keep him at Upton Park until 2010. He was an influential figure as Norwich won promotion to the Premiership in 2004, and was rewarded for his performances in the top flight with a call-up to the full England squad, appearing as a substitute against Colombia in the United States in June 2005. Since then, he has remained a regular member of the full England squad and was set to travel to the World Cup finals in Germany this summer as a possible number two behind Paul Robinson. However, Robert suffered a ruptured groin minutes after appearing in a B international against Belarus at the end of May ruling him out of the tournament.
