Emmerson Heads for the JJB

Emmerson Boyce today joined Premiership Wigan Athletic from Crystal Palace in a four-year deal costing the Lancashire club £1.25 million. The 26-year old defender, who was voted Player of the Season last year at Selhurst Park, was wanted by a number of Premiership clubs and becomes Paul Jewell’s 6th signing of the summer. Manager Paul Jewell said: “He’s the kind of player who loves to defend and the fans here will take to him straight away because he’s totally committed. He’s very quick, strong in the tackle and has proved himself already at this level.”
