World in Motion joined video production company FiftyThreeSix at a Bet365 Rugby World Cup 2019 video shoot at London Welsh RFC yesterday.

In attendance were rugby legends Mike Tindall and Matt Giteau who shared the field on that famous day for English rugby in November 2003. Tindall’s England managed to beat Giteau’s Australian team and win the Webb Ellis Cup after extra-time in the most dramatic fashion, and the two talked in-depth on who they think will be victorious this time around in Japan. Tindall and Giteau were also joined by ex-Scotland international Jim Hamilton who now features in his own popular Rugby podcast named ‘The Rugby Pod’.

World in Motion have acquired rugby agency Phoenix Sports Management in a deal that will see the former industry leading firm become a major force once again within rugby in the northern hemisphere. World in Motion have acted on behalf of the likes of Brian O’Driscoll, Tom Croft, Leigh Halfpenny, Courtney Lawes, Dean Richards, Geordan Murphy, Ashton Hewitt, Dan Biggar, Warren Gatland and many more. With the acquisition, World in Motion plans to attract some of the world’s top players and coaches and build on Phoenix’s already strong presence in the rugby market.

World in Motion was established in 1997 by chairman Andy Evans and now runs offices out of London, Cardiff, throughout Europe and North and South America. World in Motion CEO Charles Mountifield has a strong background in rugby, having represented many international players and coaches and who was the first Chairman of the Association of Rugby Agents. There is an in- house statistics department as well as a strong commercial offering as part of the company’s multi-sport agency that includes a client base spanning football, cricket, boxing, golf and rugby. Commenting on the deal, Andy Evans said ‘We have had a long-standing relationship with Phoenix and are delighted to be able to formalise our relationship and build the World in Motion brand with the acquisition of a reputable and successful business.’

DATABASE & SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Location: Hammersmith, London

Hours: 10-6 (with 30 min break), Mon – Fri, with some evening/weekend work as required

Salary: £15,500 (based on 37.5 hour week) + overtime for evening/weekend work

KEY ATTRIBUTES

This role will suit a recent graduate living in London with experience in disciplines that include digital platforms, social media and creative design. You will be hardworking, diligent, creative and have an excellent knowledge of sport, in particular, the football industry. You will also be someone that lives and breathes social media, an expert on what and when to post and how to go viral. Navigating the social world daily, you will be experienced with creating engaging content and pin-pointing the latest sport social trends and how to apply them.

KEY SKILLS

  • Good organisational skills and work-flow management
  • Have excellent inter-personal skills to allow you to form good working relationships with staff
  • An excellent command of written English with strong creative and editorial skills
  • Experience in managing & maintaining digital products (App, Social Media & Website)
  • Managing all digital content (e.g. written, online & video)
  • Able to demonstrate transferable knowledge in sport business and sports brands
  • A proactive and creative social media specialist
  • Plan and produce content schedules in line with key dates and events

DATABASE MANAGEMENT

  • Manage our in-house client database. In order to do this, you must have a detailed knowledge of football players and clubs, both in the UK and abroad
  • Work independently and autonomously in order to answer multiple daily player requests from football clubs
  • Produce solutions for agents/clubs and follow up on them at agreed times

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

  • Be responsible for posting relevant details to all the company’s social media platforms
  • Be flexible with your time in order to react to our social media needs which are often in the evening or at the weekend

OTHER

  • Be responsible for the creation of dynamic client CVs and promotional videos
  • You will be responsible for researching matters relating to all aspects of football for the purpose of securing mandates & new clients

Wolves captain & World in Motion client extends deal until 2023

Conor Coady has signed a new & improved contract with current club Wolverhampton Wanderers. Coady has become a fan favourite for the Black Country side who have already taken points off Premier league giants Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur this season.

Coady has formed a strong relationship in the middle of a back three and has proven more than capable at the highest level of English football.

The Wolves captain has signed a new and improved deal that will see him at the club until 2023.
