Deadline Day Movers

Two exciting young World in Motion clients were involved in moves on the final day of the January transfer window.

20-year-old winger Morgan Whittaker completed a move from Derby County to Swansea City, signing a four-and-a-half year deal at the Liberty Stadium. He will bolster Swansea’s attacking options and will be hoping to help in their push for promotion to the Premier League. We are proud to have helped him progress to the next challenge in his career!

There was time for one more deadline day deal as young defender, George Edmundson, made a loan move from Rangers to Derby County for the remainder of the 20/21 season. He will be looking to solidify the centre of the Derby defence and contribute to the Rams’ resurgence under new manager, Wayne Rooney.

Cordina Returns

Joe Cordina will make his long-awaited return to the ring on 20th March on the undercard of Lawrence Okolie’s World Cruiserweight title fight.

The Welsh Wizard, who has won both British and Commonwealth titles and holds a perfect record of 11 wins from his 11 professional fights, will be looking to continue his journey towards World honours at Super-Featherweight.

Conor Coady Reaches 300

Congratulations to World in Motion client and Wolves captain Conor Coady on reaching 300 career League appearances. He has been excellent at the heart of Wolves’ defence and is closing in on his 100th Premier League appearance.

2020 was a great year for Conor. His performances in the Premier League were rewarded with both an England call-up and a new five-year contract at Wolves in September. He made his England debut and kept a clean sheet in the Nations League against Denmark. He then scored his first international goal in a friendly against Wales, captaining the side for the final half an hour of the game.

Here’s to many more!
