Czvitkovics set for Cup Final

KV Kortrijk and Hungary midfielder Peter Czvitkovics will play in the Belgian Cup Final in his first full season at the club, after Kortrijk knocked out Mons in this evening’s semi-final. Czvitkovics, who has 10 Hungary caps, will line up in the final against Lokeren on the 25th March.

Curtis Main makes first team bow

Curtis Main has made his first start for Middlesbrough FC in the televised FA Cup 4th round replay against local rivals Sunderland. The game saw Sunderland run out winners after extra time whilst Curtis acquitted himself well earning the Man of the Match award.

Henrik Ojamaa signs 2 ½ year deal with Motherwell

After impressing in his first 6 games for Motherwell, Estonia U21 forward Henrik Ojamaa has signed a new two and half year deal with the club, keeping him at Fir Park until June 2014. Henrik’s impressive start to his SPL career also saw him win January’s Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month award. The Estonian has scored five goals and made four assists in his first seven games for The Steelmen.

Tom Heaton makes Carling Cup Final with Cardiff City

Tom Heaton and Cardiff City have secured their place in the Carling Cup final at Wembley following a dramatic penalty shoot out, after the tie with Crystal Palace finished deadlocked. World in Motion client Tom Heaton was instrumental in the success saving two penalties in the shoot out. Tom will now take his place in the final on 26 February 2012 against Liverpool.

Swindon snap up Palace stopper

Swindon Town have secured the signature of Crystal Palace and England U19 goalkeeper Wes Foderingham on a permanent basis after a successful loan spell in which he recorded an impressive 9 clean sheets in his first 15 games. Wes, who has been a huge hit with the Town faithful since his loan move in October, has penned a two-and-a-half year deal.

With the UK transfer window closing last night, Papiss Demba Cisse’s £10million transfer to Newcastle United remains the most expensive transfer completed in this year’s January window. Cisse, who joined the Magpies from Bundesliga outfit SC Freiburg, moved for a fee which eclipses the likes of Gary Cahill’s transfer to Chelsea FC and Nikica Jelavic’s move to Everton FC.
