Bristol City snap up goal machine Brett Pitman

Bristol City have beaten off competition from newly promoted Premier League club Blackpool as well as a host of Championship rivals to sign highly rated striker Brett Pitman. Pitman scored 62 goals in 197 appearances for Bournemouth and was at the club for six years before deciding the time was right to challenge himself at a higher level.

Paul Rachubka has signed an improved 2 year contract with Premier League newcomers Blackpool FC. The former Manchester United goalkeeper will be aiming to secure a starting line-up for the tangerines having played in more than half of the games last season.
